Charlestown Tunnel of Lights
Over the last few years, stunning light displays have been popping up here, there and everywhere during the festive period, with their mesmerising and magical feel lighting up the eyes of children and adults alike! The Shipwreck Treasure Museum brings their very own to Charlestown, just a short drive from Meadow Lakes, transforming the entire museum into an incredible, immersive Christmas experience. One of the most festive evenings out in Cornwall, their tunnels are covered in thousands of twinkling lights, and guests can enjoy festive food and beverages during their visit too.

Music & Lights at The Eden Project
Christmas lights synthesize with the beauty of the natural world at The Eden Project’s music and lights event, starting from 5pm on selected dates in December (and included in your admission ticket!). Visitors will experience an immersive soundscape and light installation in the tropical Rainforest Biome, along with live performances from musicians in the Mediterranean Biome too. The performers will showcase Christmas classics, with a 1920’s jazz twist, all under the twinkle of the mesmerising domes. Magic!

Christmas Silent Disco at Fistral Beach
Slip on a pair of headphones and get into the festive groove! The silent disco king of Newquay, Ant Durkin will be kicking-off the festivities in true beach bar style with a mix of Christmas jams, pop, rock and party classics. It’s time to unleash the jazzy groove-suit and get your jingle bell rock on! Join Fistral Beach Bar on Saturday 23rd December from 9pm until late.
No bookings required but be sure to arrive early to claim your headphones.

Charlestown Boxing Day Swim
Since 1991, Charlestown Rowing Club attract hundreds of visitors to the harbour for the festive Boxing Day swim! This chilly but very fun event has raised an amazing amount of money for a number of charities, including Churchtown Outdoor Activity Centre, the RNLI, and Cornwall Hospice Care. Go on, be brave and dive in!

Looe New Year Fireworks
Wrap up and sip bubbles and beers on the seafront, whilst you dance the night away in the cobbled streets, as the spectacular fireworks display lights up Banjo Pier and Looe, bringing in the New Year with a bang!

New Year’s Day Swim at Gorran Haven Beach
Say HELLO to 2024 and wash away that NY hangover with a refreshing sea swim. joining the rest of the village to celebrate the year to come! The swim is organised by St Gorran Rowing Club to raise money to support the RNLI. Head to the village hall to warm up with a coffee, cake and a raffle afterwards too.
